The information below will provide you with solutions to common browser-related issues while accessing Markit's services:

Resolving Download Problems

If you are having difficulty downloading files from Markit Portal using Internet Explorer, ensure that 'Automatic prompting for file downloads' is enabled in your browser settings. Follow these instructions to enable this option,

  1. Open Internet Options (Tools Menu > Internet Options)
  2. Select the Security tab, and press the 'Custom Level' button
  3. In the dialog box that appears, select the enable option for 'Automatic prompting for file downloads'.
  4. Select 'OK' on all open dialog boxes. Restart your browser for changes to take effect.

Enabling JavaScript and Active Scripting

  1. Open IE and click Tools > Internet Options
  2. Under the Security Tab, click the "Custom Level..." button
  3. Scroll down to Scripting, and under Active Scripting, select the Enable radio button
  4. Click OK to close the dialog box
Some companies disable JavaScript execution as a security measure. If this is the case with your company, request that your Network Administrator enable JavaScript for www.markit.com. After you have confirmed that it has been enabled, clear your browser cache using the instructions below.

Clearing Your Cache

  1. Open IE and click Tools > Internet Options
  2. In the dialog box, click the button “Delete Files”, select “Delete all offline content”, then confirm with “OK”
  3. Close the “Internet Options” dialog box by clicking “OK”
