Senior Developer, Markit Trade Processing

Markit Group Limited is looking for experienced technologists to become members of its North America development team based in White Plains, NY. Responsibilities include analysis of business requirements and specifications, coding, testing, debugging, and writing documentation for various agile development projects.

The position is located in Markit’s Westchester office in White Plains, NY.

Skills and Experience:

• Must have complete SDLC exposure and experience with several large-scale projects from inception to completion
• Proficient with Object Oriented Analysis and Design7+ years of relevant professional experience
• Excellent analytical skills
• Must have deep practical knowledge in J2EE technologies – core Java, JSPs/Servlets, Spring/Struts, XML, JDBC/SQL, Hibernate, etc
• Have active hand-on experience
• Perl and UNIX scripting knowledge is a plus
• Must have experience working with JBoss or other J2EE application server environment
• Proactive and enthusiastic, self motivated and a keen team player
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in processing OTC Derivatives data is a plus
• Experience working with FpML is a plus
• Financial Industry knowledge and professional experience is a plus
• Experience working closely with business clients is a plus
