Sales Assistant


This individual will support the senior data sales team in NY for Markit North America.  This will include the support and assistance of the sales team including the marketing and sales of Markit's products and services, maintenance of existing account relationships, and assisting in up-sales with existing relationships.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of the entire sales lifecycle including liaising with senior sales people and client support to provide ongoing support and training to existing clients
  • Prepare documentation including trial agreements, confidentiality agreements, and sales agreements
  • Assist the Sales Team with CRM database activities
  • Identify new business opportunities, and assist in broadening the client base
  • Prepare and deliver marketing presentations
  • Maintain regular client contact
  • Contribute to ongoing product development effort through client feedback.
  • Work with supervisor to maintain task priorities

Skills and Experience Required:

 

  • Professional demeanor with strong in-person and telephone based presentation skills
  • Strong written communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Articulate and self-motivated
