Markit Trade Processing Business Analyst

We have an urgent need for a business analyst to assist our OTC Trade Processing product.  This exciting position gives candidates an opportunity to work with product managers, clients and partners. The candidate will finalize requirements, define scope, and write detailed functional specifications for product management group. Candidate will serve as a liaison between the product management group and the dev team in order to provide technical solutions to meet business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform a thorough business analysis of fund administrator requirements, create specifications, monitor progress, prepare test plans, run tests, co-ordinate the implementation and finally transfer knowledge to the on boarding team
• Perform a thorough business analysis of upcoming SwapsWire Integration and create specifications for dev team
• Work with business sponsors to define and manage the scope, strategy, requirements and implementation of projects
• Provide business process information and technical direction to the support team when needed
• Facilitating meetings and discussion as needed during the project lifecycle
• Responsible for creating/updating documents required as part of the system development lifecycle (Statements of Work, business & functional requirements, detail functional design, technical design input, Use Case and process documents)
• Participating in the User Acceptance testing process

Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate must be able to combine:

• Minimum of 4 years of  Business Analyst experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced, complex technical environment
• Strong understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC)
• Prioritizes assignments, balance multiple projects and ensure schedules are maintained
• Proven experience in requirements gathering of all sized projects
• Seeks challenge and thrives on meeting deadlines with quality and efficiency
• Knowledge of financial markets and OTC Derivatives would be a big plus
