Associate, Office Administrator
Job Description:
Position summary Markit Group is the pre-eminent supplier of high value critical financial data. Its customers are major investment banks, derivatives users, hedge fund and asset managers, risk controllers, exchanges and fund administrators.
A great opportunity has just become available for an administrator to join a busy, vibrant team within Markit. It is a varied and challenging role as you would be providing administrative support to the Office Manager and Infrastructure teams.
Duties and Accountabilities:
- Providing admin support to the Office Manager and H/R
- Reception cover (13.00 - 14.00)
- Coordination with contractors providing office services, Cleaning, Maintenance,
- Waste removals
- Opening and distribution of the post
- Distribution of faxes
- Ordering stationery for the office
- Providing refreshments for meetings
- Monitoring stationery cupboards/stock
- Updating and distribution of all company phone lists etc
- Checking fax/Xerox machines
- Basic I.T equipment set up (telephones, P.C’s)
- Standing in for receptionist when absent
Skills and Experience:
- The candidate will need to demonstrate proven capability to clearly communicate in both written and verbal form
- The candidate needs to be personable as they will be required to work closely with other members of this team and other areas of Markit
- The candidate need to be flexible and be prepared to work late if the business requires
- The candidate must be a strong multi tasker who is capably of dealing with conflicting priorities and organize tasks in order of relevance
- The candidate needs to be reliable, proactive and hardworking
- Technical Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word
- Good knowledge of MS Office
